EV Experts are award winning independent specialists in nearly new, pre-owned and second-hand electric vehicles, with an unrivalled selection of cars at stores in Guildford, Surrey and Hook, Hampshire.

Founders and husband and wife team, Estelle and Martin Miller, established the business in 2017 to empower customers with knowledge to make better and more informed decisions without pressure, and to be confident about choosing, running and maintaining their electric vehicle.

We love EVs, and we want you to love them too

Estelle and Martin were keen to decouple their reliance on fossil fuels and reduce their overall carbon footprint. Making the switch to an EV seemed like a sensible first step and a top priority. Estelle and Martin made the jump at a time when fully electric vehicles were relatively new to the UK market. But they were left disappointed by the buying experience, with poor advice, lack of information, and little in the way of experience from the salespeople they spoke to at dealerships. Pre-owned models were also difficult to find.

After a successful career in marketing for blue chip automotive brands and technology, Martin became an early EV adopter, pursuing his passion for a cleaner environment driven by his years as a professional yacht racer. With a strong legal background, including working for an environmental charity specialising in the circular economy, Estelle was keen to establish an environment where used EVs are bought and sold with professionalism and integrity.

Together, Estelle and Martin launched EV Experts in 2017 with a mission to provide independent, reliable and expert advice to customers. They opened their first store in Guildford, Surrey as a place to sell carefully selected, reliable and desirable vehicles. As a result of the success of their flagship location, Estelle and Martin opened a second store in Hook, Hampshire in 2022, with plans for a third in the near future.

Coming from outside of the motor trade, we wanted to create something different – a fresh, unbiased and informative customer experience that puts their requirements at the heart of the conversation.
