Who Are We

Founded by Terry Hughes in Guilsfield, near Welshpool, JT Hughes began as a small local garage serving the needs of the surrounding community. Built on hard work, honesty and a commitment to looking after customers, the business quickly earned a reputation for providing trusted motoring advice and dependable service.

A major milestone came in 1975 when JT Hughes became an official Honda dealership, opening the door to new opportunities and setting the foundations for future growth. As customer demand increased, the business expanded beyond its original home, first into Oswestry in 1977 before growing into Newtown, Telford and later Shrewsbury. What started as a single local garage gradually evolved into one of the region's leading family-run motor groups.

Today, JT Hughes Group proudly represents Honda, Hyundai, Kia, Mazda, KGM, Mitsubishi and Isuzu, offering a wide range of new and used vehicles alongside expert servicing, repairs and aftersales support. While the business has grown considerably since 1972, the family values and customer-first approach that shaped its success remain at the heart of everything we do.
